This highly detailed 2025 Thunderbirds 2" Challenge coin represents the teams 72nd anniversary. You'll see a close up depiction of the lead solo #5 jet in full afterburner breaking left as the #6 jet breaks right, behind them the diamond formation flys vertical with smoke on. The opposite side shows the teams tradmarked crest with a band of the historical aircraft the Thunderebirds has flown since first forming in 1953.
The coin was designed by aviation artist Michael J. Cooney and produced in limited quantity.
Produced as die struck brass, silver plated 2 inch diameter, 3 millimeters thick. This two sided design is highly detailed, hand enameled with vibrant color and diamond cut edge.
